Fun fact: one of the largest stained glass windows in the world can be found in the historic downtown of Toluca, Mexico. Hidden within an Art Noveau building in the city’s botanical garden, the window, created by Leopoldo Flores, narrates humanity’s relationship with the different forces of the universe.
In an effort to share the significance of the work with more people, the “Destellos de Luz” multimedia show was created to animate the symbols used in the work, with an emphasis on the artist’s concepts of good and evil. The combination of different techniques and the exploration of new formats enhanced the experience for each viewer, plunging them into a striking landscape of color and sound.
“Destellos de Luz” was a watershed moment in the cultural history of Toluca, erasing the border between the possible and the impossible and inspiring people to rethink their own understanding of entertainment.
