Gust: Be the wind

When we find a pinwheel, our first reaction is to blow on it and make it spin. “GUST: Be the Wind” is a participatory art project based on this instinct that invites participants to become the wind.

Inspired by the changing wind patterns, Cocolab created an immense field of color consisting entirely of pinwheels. This installation encourages visitors to actively participate and interact with the piece, encouraging them to contribute to creating a memorable landscape.

“GUST: Be the Wind” was inaugurated in 2018 as part of the 10th anniversary of Discovery Green, a park in Houston that stimulates community interaction and participation.
